As with my photo of Taca Rock in Brazil, the extraordinary thing about Garden of the Gods is the place, not the picture. It only takes one look to make one say, “Oh, plate tectonics, I get it!” Here we have the bottom of an ancient seabed turned up on its side and thrust into the air by the monumental forces of geology. It is really quite spectacular.
