I think it was Claude Monet’s Nympheas that first got me interested in reflections in water. Though this photo is from a reflecting pond at a temple ruin in Thailand, it reminds me very much of images of Monet’s lily pond in Giverny, France. The lotus leaves and flower buds, shadows on the water, and reflections of clouds and a tree all feel quite familiar.
This is another shot that I really didn’t spend enough time setting up, but came out well nonetheless.
