I’ve lost track of how many hundreds of photos I’ve taken of myself at various spots around the world. For some reason I almost always get a better shot if I do a hand-held self-portrait than if I ask someone to take the photo for me. Frequently as I am doing my self-portraits people stop and ask if I want them to take a picture of me. I used to gratefully accept, but now I don’t bother and just go with the arms-length hand-held photo.
