Tip #10: Carry ziplock bags

Any brand will do, but ziplocks can be indispensable. They're great for packing your wet bathing suit on the last day of your beach vacation. I also put anything liquid filled in ziplock bags so if they break during travel I might not find all my cloths saturated with mouthwash. Another ziplock tip: I always carry a gallon-size ziplock bag whenever I have my camera with me. If I get caught out in the rain, I can protect my camera by putting it in the bag.
